(Friends of the Greenway)

Who the FROGs are...

Friends of the Greenway (FROGs) assist Macon County in the management and development of the Little Tennessee River Greenway in a number of ways:

Serving the public through the acquisition, restoration, protection, and enhancement of the natural resources.

Integrating public recreational, historical, and cultural facilities with compatible commercial interest adjoining the Greenway.

Developing an informational center and educational materials to enhance awareness of environmental and historical value of the Greenway.

Assisting local government in funding through grants, donations, and special events.

Maintain a board and committees that fairly represent a diversity of interests in the community, including:

Business and industry
Youth and retired residents
Native residents and new comers
Recreation and health supporters
Those focused on preserving the Little Tennessee River
Those focused on preserving the environment
Macon County and The Town of Franklin
