Who
the FROGs are...
Friends of the Greenway
(FROGs) assist Macon County in the management and development of the Little
Tennessee River Greenway in a number of ways:
•
Serving the public through the acquisition, restoration, protection,
and enhancement of the natural resources.
•
Integrating public recreational, historical, and cultural facilities
with compatible commercial interest adjoining the Greenway.
•
Developing an informational center and educational materials to enhance
awareness of environmental and historical value of the Greenway.
•
Assisting local government in funding through grants, donations, and
special events.
•
Maintain a board and committees that fairly represent a diversity of
interests in the community, including:
•
Business and industry
•
Youth and retired
residents
•
Native residents
and new comers
•
